Get Involved

OK, So What Can I Do?

As you may have read in our history, this whole program began when two community leaders in partnership with a police department committed to something beyond themselves. That’s still what keeps us running today.

There are five major ways you could support restorative justice in the region:

  • Volunteer on a C4RJ committee to help with organizational support
  • Volunteer on a C4RJ team to process cases (this also requires committee work)
  • Offer financial support
  • Help assess the readiness of your community for a restorative justice approach
  • Advocate for restorative justice in other ways

A word on youth volunteers

We are proud to engage young people in the work of our program. They help keep fresh, creative thinking at the forefront of our responses to crime in the communities we serve. Young people are engaged on teams to process cases, have helped with public presentations, special events, and grant writing.
